Big, Rollercoaster waves, calm pools to relax and amazing Rocky Mountain views make this picture perfect rafting trip an ideal adventure for just about everyone: the average first-time rafter, families with kids over 6 years of age, and the high-water thrill-seeker.
Browns Canyon is our most popular trip! The combination of exciting whitewater, spectacular canyon scenery, and great mountain views create an ideal raft trip for the whole family. Browns Canyon is one of Colorado's great natural treasures. Granite canyons merging into mixed forests with unusual rock formations give Browns Canyon a wild and rugged nature. Access this isolated oasis by paddling through thrilling Class III-IV rapids like Pinball, Zoom Flume and Big Drop. In between rapids, be sure to scan the countryside for a glimpse of bighorn sheep, bald eagles, beavers or more! A perfect balance of refreshing rapids and serene, calm stretches make our Browns Canyon rafting adventure exciting enough for seasoned paddlers, but not too scary for first-timers. Choose from 1/2 day, 3/4 day or Full day trips ranging from 9.5 to 16 miles on the river. We also offer a Super Browns Full day trip for those who want the most splash for your cash! Super Browns takes you thru 21 miles of Class II - IV whitewater for a great 6 hours on the river. All of our 3/4 and Full Day trips include our "Ultimate Fajita Buffet" lunch. Our minimum age for Browns Canyon is 6.

Day by Day Itinerary
1/2, 3/4 and Full Day Itinerary
Our Browns Canyon trips meet at our main location if Buena Vista unless transportation is needed from Breckenridge or Frisco. After you check in with the office, sign your waivers and settle any financial business that you may have, we will send you out to our boathouse to get started. At the boathouse you'll be greeted by our experienced guides who will outfit you with a life jacket, helmet and wetsuits, booties and splash jackets if you decided to rent them for the day. Changing tents are on sight for you to get into your rafting gear. After you have made the transformation into a "rafter", locked all of your personal belongings in your car and left your car keys with the office, you are ready to load onto the bus or van that will be driving you to the put in. At the put in, you will be given a Safety Talk to learn about different situations on the river. Now you are ready to learn how to paddle. You will be separated into rafts and your guide will teach you his or her paddle commands and give you some time to practice on land before you hit the water. Once you're floating, you'll have more time to get your paddle strokes perfected before you get to the first rapid. Those of you who are on our Full Day or Super Browns Trip will enjoy our "Ultimate Fajita Buffet" lunch served on the river. (For our 3/4 Day Trips, lunch is served at our scenic picnic area back at our shop.) Our dependable drivers will be waiting for you at the take out to haul you back to the main shop where your dry clothes await. Once you are back in your own attire, we invite you back into our store/office to check out the high quality digital pictures that were taken on your trip. You will have the opportunity to purchase these pictures and other rafting souvenirs before heading out to your next adventure.
