Full Description

Come fly with Colorado's longest-operating helicopter skiing company.

Located in spectacular Telluride, Colorado, with a base elevation of 8,500 feet, Helitrax is headquartered in the Heart of the San Juan Mountains. Operating at the highest elevations of any operator in North America enables us to offer unparalleled views and snow quality. And with 200 square miles to choose from, fresh tracks are aplenty.

We fly in small groups of four skiers per guide, and each heli ski run bags between 1,000 and 2,500 vertical feet. In a typical day we aim to get six runs in (more runs available for a fee), for an average of more than 10,000 vertical feet of fresh tracks.

Just BYOB (bring your own boots) and we’ve got you covered with the latest powder skis from K2. Snowboarders are welcome too, but be prepared to handle the occasional long traverse.

We’ll only fly on clear days, but because we’re located at the base of the Telluride ski area, “down days” mean shredding on the ski mountain, not stuck in some lodge, and your reservation will redeemable for another day in the same season.

Includes:

  • Professional and experienced guides
  • All saftey equipment
  • Powder skis
  • Lunch and apre ski fare
  • 20% off The Peaks Resort lodging as a Telluride Helitrax client

Excludes:

  • Transportation to and from Telluride
  • Gratuities for guides
  • The physical fitness required to slay more pow than you've ever seen!

Policies

DEPOSITS

A 50% deposit is required to confirm all reservations.

RESERVATIONS

Each day's seat requires a partial deposit or full payment. In the event inclement weather interferes with your trip, this advanced deposit is completely refundable.

AVAILABILITY

We fill sixteen seats daily. If conditions allow, we can increase the seating to twenty. These four seats can be booked but not guaranteed. As a reservation holder, you are committed to heli-ski on the preferred or available days that you have indicated during your reservation time period.

NOTE: We reserve the right to cancel reservations for reasons including but not limited to: weather, backcountry conditions and number of participants. Reservations are prioritized by sign-up date.

WEATHER DAYS

As a reservation holder, you are required to remain available to heli-ski until noon on each of your available days. If your trip is cancelled because of inclement weather, we will try to reschedule your trip on a space available basis.

CHANGES

A 10% [of the total trip] fee is assessed to change any existing heli-ski reservation.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations will result in a forfeit of the entire deposit. Or the balance can be applied toward a reservation for the same season for the 10% change fee. Clients absent, failing to complete a ski day or who leave the field early (for any reason), will be charged in full. Excessively tardy clients cannot join the day late and will be charged in full.

REFUNDS

If a trip underway is interrupted, the following percentages of the trip will be refunded: 1 run: 40% | 2 runs: 30% | 3 runs: 20% | 4 runs: 10%.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Due to the fickle nature of heli-skiing we highly recommend obtaining Travelex insurance.

EXPECTATIONS

To make a Helitrax reservation is to approve and accept the above terms and conditions.
